Marie SaitoMarie Saito is a fitness specialist and bodywork therapist  who believes we can offset the aging process through holistic self-care methods. With 30+ years of experience in the areas of fitness, bodybuilding, martial arts, yoga and meditation, Marie has appeared on internationally televised health and fitness programs. She advocates a proactive self-care regimen as the best preventative medicine. This holistic approach includes a healthy diet along with a disciplined program of exercise and stress reduction.

Her programs combine strength and movement modalities with bodywork therapies. Whether she’s teaching a Pilates class, performing Zen Shiatsu, or running an original Pilates based  Outdoor Fitness Workout -Wee Fit, Marie emphasizes bringing intention and awareness into the body through cultivating the breath.

In addition to her certifications in Pilates, Shiatsu, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Acupressure and Reiki, Marie holds a degree from UC Berkeley in East Asian Languages and is fluent in Japanese and Spanish. She’s lived and traveled extensively throughout the world and also enjoys serving the local community. As a volunteer therapist at the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic in Oakland, CA. she provides alternative medical treatments to low-income and homeless women with cancer.
